My Childcare Style;
*Honest - if you can't trust someone to tell you the bad things, you can't expect
them to be truthful when they tell you something good.
*Energetic
- it's fun to get up and move, even if it's raining, snowing, too hot, or too cold to be outside - you can still turn on some
music and dance
*Clear - children always know what is expected of
them and where the boundaries are
*Respectful - I believe in treating
children with respect, and requiring respectful behavior from them. It only harms a child when you let them speak rudely to
you or any other person. Growing up knowing how to respect other people, no matter their station in life, is invaluable.
*Intentional. I know that sounds weird, but since kids tend to be sponges, those of
us who parent and guide them have to be very purposeful in both what we actively teach them, and what we passively show them.
*Fun. Laughter is necessary.
*Music oriented - I love to sing. I also play the piano and flute, and can teach both as needed.
*Loving. A child is not happy and able to reach the full measure of their potential
unless they have the security of knowing they are treasured.
